SAS - Outobs & Inobs

What is it?

It just limits the amount of records that are returned
For Example: In PostGRES it would be the same as "Limit" or
In Oracle it would be "rownum"; rownum.Select * from [table] where rownum < 100

Outobs Example:

Example: Limit Results to 10 Records

libname ABCDEFGH postgres server="Server_Address.com" port=5432 user=kevin password="P@ssW0rd" database=DBName schema=SchemaName;

Proc SQL Outobs=10;
SELECT * FROM my_table;
Quit;

Example: Limit Source to 10 Records

libname ABCDEFGH postgres server="Server_Address.com" port=5432 user=kevin password="P@ssW0rd" database=DBName schema=SchemaName;

Proc SQL Inobs=10;
SELECT * FROM my_table;
Quit;
