What is it?

Syntax:

  • Year(date);

SAS Year Statement:


 SAS Year Example:




Data work.my_data_file;

    Result_1 = Year(today());

Run;



What's happening in the script above?

  • The Year(); Function is calculating the year based on a date, in this case the "Today" (April 9th 2021)


Year Example:

Variable Input Output Description
Result_1 Year(today()); 2021 The year is extracted from a date, in this case, the today's year (as of April 9th 2021
