SAS Sum Function

What is it?

An addative function that returns the sum of two or more numbers
The values can be numbers or variables
When adding items, just include an additional comma for each item

Syntax:

Sum(item1, item2, item99)

Sum Function Example:

libname ABCDEFGH postgres server="Server_Address.com" port=5432 user=kevin password="P@ssW0rd" database=DBName schema=SchemaName;

Data work.my_data_file;

    Result 1 = sum(5, 5);
    Result 2 = sum(5, 5, 5);
run;

proc
  print data=my_data_file;
run;

CEIL Examples:

Variable	Input	Output	Description
Result 1	5, 5	10	The function added the two inputs (5 + 5)
Result 2	5, 5, 5	15	The function added three inputs (5 + 5 + 5)
